With so many options like Zara, Topshop, H&M, Fashion Nova, Lulus, and more, it’s safe to say that fast fashion is king! Even though it’s nice to have so many options and a slew of ever changing trends, I have always been one to prefer more classic looks and find myself investing in pieces that I know will transcend this season’s fads and stand the test of time, especially when travelling.
Classic and Chic
I have always been a fan of classic and chic styles whether I’m dressing up or keeping it casual. My go-to outfits usually consist of button down shirts in a variety of textures, colors, and materials and a good pair of jeans. Lately, I’ve really grown to love high-waisted jeans for their ultra-flattering high rise that give the illusion of an hourglass figure when paired with my waist-cinching Gucci Belt (more on that in a subsequent post!).
Being one to continually experiment though, I’ve been trying to switch up my usual blouses and button downs for ever versatile bodysuits like the American Apparel Turtleneck one I wore in the photos above. While there are a plethora of bodysuit options, I especially love this American Apparel one because of its thick, cotton material that is so so good for layering and its slightly snug fit that feels more like my favorite pair of Fabletics compression leggings!
As far as shoes go, I’ve been loving mules in all colors and styles from tassels and brocade to velvet and studs. My mom thinks it’s hilarious because I use to make fun of her wearing Mules all the time and called them “old lady shoes,” but here I am a few years later with a growing mule collection of my own. Funny how life is like that!
